Classic Jazz Drum Solo On 1968 Slingerland Small Drums-Ken Loomer

Here I`m playing on my small 1968 Slingerland drum set with the 20 inch bass drum,8x12 inch tom,14x14 inch floor tom,and the artist model 5.5x14 inch snare drum. I`m doing a classic jazz drum solo on the famous song Cherokee.So many great jazz drummers from the past and present who played this song like Buddy Rich,Joe Morello,Jeff Hamliton,Gene Krupa,Roy Haynes, did this type of open drum solo.I love playing on these small jazz drums working with my trio.I`m always thinking of new ways to play to make the drum solo exciting and fresh. Franco Marino is playing tenor sax and my good friend Tony Castellano on the piano and bass keyboard. As long as the people enjoy what I`m playing,then I know I have reached them and it`s so great to be playing with my outstanding musicians.
