Suture Pattern: Simple Continuous

Suture Pattern: Simple Continuous

EFSC 1652 Intro to ASR Suture Lab. In this instructional video, I use a shammy, embossing thread and upholstery needle to demonstrate how to execute a Simple Continuous Suture Pattern. You can purchase these items at Walmart usually and practice at home. Once you are comfortable with the hand movements needed for each pattern/ knot, switch to suture and the suture kits. We will use the kits in class. You can recognize this pattern by the tiny "\" that connect the 2 sides of an incision. There is a knot ("Bunny ears") at each end. This video does not discuss needle types, different suture material or what material is used with tissues found in/on the body. You may need to rotate your device if the angle played is not good for your perspective.
