There is a true principle in the Word of God (Holy Bible), related by the Apostle Paul, in which a couple (man and woman) were in severe sexual sin at the Corinthian church. This couple, who were apparently professing Christians, were bringing a terribly offensive reputation to the church there. Paul, therefore, gives them instructions, inspired by the Holy Spirit, on how they should turn these people over to Satan "For the destruction of the flesh", so that "their spirits might be saved in the Day of the Lord" (1 Corinthians 5:5). Is this "turning someone over to Satan" being done in false ways, in today's Christianity? I believe that it is in fact being done by certain people, who have self-appointed their selves as having some type of great spiritual authority. Because of this, they will go about making decisions on their own, to do things such as turning other people over to Satan. Their reason, however, will be one of selfishness and not being one of concern for any particular true, Christian church body. God will hold such flippant Christians accountable for acting falsely and their careless use of God's Word and power, will actually bring them negative effects in this lifetime as well. With this being the case, and with not getting a consensus (agreement) with other church members, what they do in handing a person over to God's spiritual enemy, may amount to witchcraft, rather than being an action truly led by the Holy Ghost. Following is a scripture listing the "fruits" of the Holy Spirit, that gives us a very good idea, as to why God holds an indignant view toward Christians who jump to doing things as just described. Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (Written by Paul via the Holy Ghost, who also wrote the passage about turning the extremely sinful couple at Corinth, over to Satan.)
