Russia Strikes Azov Command Post, Ukraine Repels Bakhmut Attacks, "Jets Only a Question of Time"

Ukraine has claimed 20 airstrikes on Russian positions in the last 24 hours, killing over 930 troops and destroying their equipment. Ukraine’s General Staff said Russia is conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu met with his senior commanders on March 4 to discuss the conflict in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Russian army has claimed to have hit a command centre of the Ukrainian forces' Azov Regiment. Former Russian Commander Igor Girkin has played down the significance of reports that Russian troops have encircled Bakhmut. Two Ukrainian pilots are in Arizona to fly flight simulators and be evaluated by the US military. Meanwhile, Latvia’s PM Krišjānis Kariņš has said that the West delivering jets to Ukraine is “only a question of time”. Former US President Donald Trump has said that he can end the Ukraine-Russia war in a day in a pitch for 2024 US Presidential elections. Trump also spoke about his close ties with Putin, saying that the Russian President will listen to him.
