1. We Give Because We Love God and We Support His Dreams Acts 1: 8 you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” God’s dream has always been global and local – God wants to use Freedom in an extraordinary way in our own backyard God has heard the cries of this city, of our friends or families and He wants them saved and truly discipled Will we allow a spirit of religion (unbelief) to hinder the rebuilding of God’s house, or will we break religion through generosity Hag 1: 2-9 Thus speaks the Lord of hosts: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built. 3 Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” 5 Now thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! 6 “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes. 7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! 8 Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. 9 “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. 2. Remember it’s a Great Honor to Give to God’s Dreams and Hopes 1 Chron 29: 14 but who am I and who are my people that we should be permitted to give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we only give you what is yours already! I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, loves little.” 3. We Give With Expectation and We Receive Through Expectation Mk 6: 4-6 “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Jn 5: 6 He said to him, Do you want to be made well?” Mk 5: 27-29 she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up Gal 6: 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
