Washington Section K (Stevens Pass to Rainy Pass) is 127 miles. August 20-25, 2021 This section is supposed to be one of spectacular views, including Glacier Peak and its neighboring craggy faces. But like, Kendall Katwalk, we wouldn’t know. Washington decided to treat us to rain, heavy fog, and a near constant mist. We did our best to see the beauty in these days, but I would be lying if I said the constant sog-fest didn’t bring our spirits down some. A zero day in Stehekin was a welcome break from the weather and miles, and we enjoyed the peaceful solitude this this little town had to offer. We left Stehekin ready to finish this thing out. Our bodies and our minds are tired, and we have so fully enjoyed this journey, but the closer we get the closer we find ourselves ready for the end.
