SLOW MOTION Blending CVC Words By Tapping Out Sounds

I am a former K/1 resource teacher who used Fundations. To help my resource students who struggled with tapping out sounds and blending CVC words, I decided to record myself doing it in SLOW MOTION. Each CVC video had a slow motion version and a regular version. First I showed my students the slow mo video, then the regular. They LOVED this! The slow motion videos were so funny to them AND helped them learn how to blend. In slow mo, they could actually see that I tapped my finger for each sound, and they were able to notice the sounds being put together to make the word. After showing them the slow mo video, I would ask "What word is it?!" then we would check on the regular video. This was exciting for them! I highly recommend recording yourself in slow motion for your students, they will enjoy it!
