SPEARING a GREENLING and Smoking it over a Campfire (Spearfishing CATCH and COOK in Canada)

I went for a dive and managed to spear a couple of nice kelp greenlings. Greenling are not a fish that local spearfishermen and women really get excited about, the focus always tends to be on lingcod or rockfish. Greenling are super underrated in my opinon. I brined them and then hot smoked them over a camp fire, it turned out incredible. Spearfishing on Vancouver Island can be great sometimes, especially when the visibility lines up.
