MORNING DIALECT BULLETIN:: 29.04.2024 RAKESH DOLEY CAMPAINING INTENSIFIES:: 3rd PHASE Campaigning has intensified for the third phase of general elections with top leaders of major political parties making strong pitch to woo the voters through rallies and road shows across the country. 95 Parliamentary Constituencies across 10 States and two Union Territories will go to polls in this phase on the 7th of May. One thousand 351 candidates are in the fray in this phase. Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi while campaigning at Belagavi yesterday in Karnataka informed that in the last 10 years, his government helped small farmers through the Farmers Producers Organisation to cut input costs and open the market for agri produce. He also said that the Supreme Court has given a tight slap on EVM doubters. He accused the Congress of weakening democracy through false narratives created by them. He criticized Rahul Gandhi for allegedly blaming Rajas and Maharajas for confiscating wealth from the citizens and for committing atrocities. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has said that his party would fulfill all promised 5 Nyay and 25 guarantees for the people. He was addressing the media persons in Guwahati. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to fulfill the promises made to people during the last 10 years. The Congress President slammed the BJP government for failing to provide two crore jobs every year and doubling the income of farmers. ARUNACHAL PRADESH LOKAYUKTA Arunachal Pradesh Lokayukta Chairperson Justice (Retd) Prasanta Kumar Saikia passed away on Saturday in New Delhi. Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a Social Media post has mourned the demise of late Saikia. Mr. Khandu said that the Justice Retired PK Sakia was a versatile personality and his contributions to the society shall always be fondly remembered. Governor of Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) has also condoled the demise of the State Lokayukta Chairman. In a message he said that in the sudden passing away of Justice Saikia, the State of Arunachal Pradesh lost a conscientious ombudsman and a crusader against corruption.The Governor, on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh conveyed condolence and prayed to Almighty God for eternal peace of the departed soul. Justice Saikia, a retired judge of the Gauhati High Court, was sworn in as the first chairperson of the Arunachal Pradesh Lokayukta on June 27, 2019. INDIAN ARMY:: TAWANG In Tawang, Indian Army organized an ex-servicemen rally for Veterans and Veer Narees of Tawang District at Tawang Military station yesterday. The event commenced with Wreath Laying at Tawang War Memorial, wherein the Veterans paid homage to valiant martyrs of 1962 war. Over 150 Veterans, Veer Narees, next of kins of Veterans from all over Tawang District assembled on the occasion. As a part of the rally, stalls were set up by various departments like Medical Camps, Veteran Suvidha Kendras, Banks, Aadhar Biometric Updation Centre and others to cater on-the-spot services to the participants. On the occasion, staffs from Record Offices of various Regiments were also available to facilitate and resolve any pension related issues for the veterans. BIHU:: ICR Silver Jubilee celebration of Itanagar Rongali Bihu Sanmilan-2024 concluded yesterday. The two day silver Jubilee celebration was organized by Assamese Association Itanagar at DK Convention Centre, from April 27 to 28. The Assamese community residing around the ICR region enthusiastically participated in the silver Jubilee celebration. The second day of the celebration saw various events and competitions. Various cultural troops presented folk Bihu dance on the occasion. MANIPUR:: REPOLLING The Election Commission of India has directed to conduct re-polling in six Polling Stations of the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency on the 30th of April. The ECI declared the polls conducted at these six polling stations on the 26th of April in the second phase of Lok Sabha Election, 2024 as void. The polling Stations are five in the Ukhrul district and one in the Senapati district. WORLD VETERINARY DAY Arunachal Pradesh Veterinarian's Association, Tezu unit, in collaboration with Deptt. of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary celebrated World Veterinary Day at District Veterinary Hospital Tezu on Saturday. The theme for this year's WVD celebration was Veterinarians are essential health workers. The association of Lohit organised livestock awareness camp and free Anti -Rabies vaccination of pets on the occasion. Since the theme of this year's World Veterinary Day celebration is related to health workers, Medicos of the Zonal Hospital Tezu were invited in the programme to remind and reiterated their efforts to shoulder hand to hand in fighting some of the dreaded diseases that are often transmitted through animals to humans.
