4BC Radio Interview Re TPI Veterans - 13 August 2013

This is an edited version of the 13 Aug 2013 interview between Greg Carey - Host of the Brisbane 4BC Radio Station - and The Hon. Senator Michael Ronaldson, who was then the Opposition Veterans' Affairs Minister who went on to become the actual Minister. As the viewer will see/hear, Senator Ronaldson was very clear that TPI Veterans had been poorly treated for years in terms of their compensation. Six and half years later and nothing has changed for the now 28,000 … other than the continued obfuscation, equivocation, stalling … even when a "SURPLUS" has been declared!? This remains a National Disgrace when our most disabled TPI Veterans receive only approx. 63% of the gross minimum wage for their economic loss in compensation. Welfare supplementation and/or a health care "gold card" is no substitute or excuse for not fixing the clear inadequacy.
