Hello, This is Walk Together. WALK & TALK in seoul again! Changsin-dong is Seoul's first urban regeneration project area which started in 2014. Seoul has spend over 110 million korean wons for the urban regeneration. It changes quite many things like stairs, streets, many safety features, sewer systems and more. Also, some buildings for the residential people which locals didn't like because it's more likely for tourists. Even after the urban regeneration project, still there are many things needed to be improved like fire road and more. So, there has been serious debates about which one is better, Urban Regeneration or Area Redevelopment. Many of people cannot afford to it when it comes to Area Redevelopment and it can cause a gentrification too. As I not the resident of this area, I cannot say which one is the best for the people here. Let's Walk Together. Piano Cover by @DooPiano 안녕하세요? ㄷㄷㄷ 피아노커버 @DooPiano [Subscribe👍] Subscribe: https://rebrand.ly/walk-together [Channel Membership] Join: / @walktogether [Please Support my Walk🧡] Patreon: / walktogether Paypal: https://paypal.me/WalkTogether4U [TimeStamp⌚] 00:00 Highlight | 하이라이트 01:58 Sunset at Naksan Park | 낙산공원의 일몰 13:21 Quarry Lookout | 채석장 전망대 28:07 Seoul Night View | 서울 야경 41:24 Sanmaru Playground | 산마루 놀이터 43:05 Seoul Night View | 서울 야경 48:45 Stone Mountain Village | 돌산마을 54:10 Small Alley Walk | 골목길걷기 1:04:42 Whirlwind Road | 회오리길 1:10:46 Sewing Road | 봉제거리 1:22:51 Chaingsin Alley Market | 창신골목시장 -- What is “Seoul’s brand of urban regeneration”? Urban regeneration is a global trend that has been implemented for some time, not only in Seoul but in many other advanced cities. Based on its experience with a variety of urban regeneration projects that avoid simply tearing down and building again, the SMG defines “Seoul’s brand of urban regeneration” as follows : Aiming to repair and reuse a city instead of erasing and rewriting it, and resolving issues through healing and recovery of entangled networks of relations, sharing these issues with the people who live within the city, thereby responding to their new demands What makes “Seoul’s brand of urban regeneration” necessary? Seoul and other cities in Korea achieved rapid growth through population concentration and industrialization. While this brought quantitative growth, it also brought social conflict due to some areas falling behind and improvement of urban functions mainly through uniform redevelopments. With ever-increasing calls from the general public to revive these declining areas in terms of the environment, daily living, and economic features and enable sustainable qualitative growth, the need for “urban regeneration” emerged. “Seoul’s brand of urban regeneration” is a comprehensive solution to answer these calls, discover and secure engines of future growth, and thereby become “a city where all citizens live well in perpetual harmony” by resolving gaps between different areas, protecting local industries to ensure continuous growth, attracting young people, and bolstering local communities.
