World leaders gathered to pay final respects as Pope Francis laid to rest

The US president is among the world leaders to have travelled to Rome, joining the likes of Prime Minister Keir Starmer, President Zelensky and Prince William. More than 200,000 people crowded into St Peter’s Square to show their respects to the Pope, who passed away on Monday. Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky were pictured sat together in in St Peter's Basilica on Saturday morning having a private talk about a potential peace deal to end Russia's terror invasion of Ukraine.
