Disney Wish! Embarkation Day For Disney's Newest Cruise Ship-Part 1

#dcl #disneywish #disneycruiseline Disney Wish! Inaugural Sailing, July 22, 2022- Embarkation Day, Part 1! Join us for an exciting adventure as we board the Disney Wish, Disney Cruise Line's newest ship to join the fleet! We made our way to Port Canaveral just in time for our port arrival window. Our first glances of the ship were from the road and what a magnificent ship she is! Once at the terminal we were able to see the Wish closer up. Rapunzel graces the stern and the AquaMouse can easily be spotted up above the pool deck. Before long we were called for boarding and were thrilled to hear the words, "Disney Wish, welcome aboard the Duke Family!". No longer referred to as the atrium, the Grand Hall welcomes guests with a spectacular sparkling centerpiece chandelier. The kids were handed wishing wands and a Cast Member came on stage and asked everyone to make a wish while waving their wands. The chandelier twinkled and the ceiling lights were aglow with the wishes, what a great start to the cruise! Up above we spotted Princess Tianna and Prince Naveen. We were amazed at the size of the Grand Hall as well as the decor. We explored deck 3 in order to complete the Muster Drill and found several lounges, shops, one of a few different entrances to the Walt Disney Theater, and 1923, one of three feature restaurants onboard. Everything was pristine and while the layout differs from the other ships, we were able to learn our way around relatively easily. We had an early port arrival time which meant our stateroom would not be ready for several hours. This gave us plenty of time for lunch and more exploring. We made our way to Worlds of Marvel where the ambiance will make anyone feel like an Avenger. The screens were all displaying the Avengers emblem and the dishes and flatware too! The lunch menu had many of our favorite embarkation meal choices including the empanadas, pennette pasta, and even chicken Caesar salad. We had an amazing dining team for lunch. Our server brought out extra empanadas (we didn't ask but he saw how much we enjoyed them!) and he convinced us to get dessert. We loved all the food! We discovered the Untangled Salon and Hook's Barberie on deck 4 before making our way to deck 5. Both of our children were able to go to the Oceaneer's Club and Edge on this sailing. Edge is fun and inviting. The kids enjoyed the comfy seats and of course the Ipads during the cruise. Also located on deck 5 is Arendelle. The theming that has gone into this restaurant has literally been taken from the Frozen and Frozen 2 movies and transformed into real life. We enjoyed the art along the long corridor. The dining room is massive. Our dinner for the first night was at Arendelle so our sneak peek of the restaurant added to our growing excitement for the evening. We decided to split the vlog as we explored so many spaces on embarkation day. There is so much more to come so please be sure to watch! We certainly hope you enjoyed what we have shared of the beautiful Disney Wish so far. Thanks so much for watching! Onward to our next adventure!
