When I did my Halo trombone octet arrangement as a part of Marathon Mode, I was reminded how much of a meme it was, and I still found myself compelled to do a more fleshed out, full arrangement of the tune (beyond just the plainchant in the beginning... can we call it plainchant? I'm calling it plainchant). I was legally obligated to bust out some vocals on this one, and I was surprised with how nice it sounded despite my lack of vocal training - to be fair though drowning anything in reverb makes it sound cool! I had actually written this arrangement to sound quite a bit different, but once I started recording the bass part, I figured having a bit of a triplet-y shuffle feel would potentially be way cooler, so with some slight tweaks that's what this arrangement became! I had a little more fun working on this than I expected to in all honesty, and I'm pretty cool with how this one came together! Next up will probably be a Final Fantasy VII cover! Despite how little I talk about it, it was one of my favorite games growing up, and the remake has gotten me excited about doing a few arrangements from it! --------------------------------------------------- My name is Eric - and I play trombone!
