Will I like Resident Evil 4 Remake if I don't like the originial? | Resident Evil 4 Remake: Part 1

MY THOUGHTS: ----- I played the original RE4 four years ago. Even though RE is one of my favourite gaming franchises, I sadly did not like 4 at all. I can give many reasons, but will maybe leave that for another time. Since I like the Remakes so much, I hope this remake will give me a 2nd chance in liking RE4. STORYLINE PROGRESSION (!!!SPOILERS!!!): ----- 6 years after the events of RE2, Leon still thinks about what happened that day. He now works for a top secret government program. He had some heavy training and changed from a rookie cop to an experienced though guy. The daughter of the president has been kidnapped. Intel says she has been taken to some spanish village. Instead of sending a whole rescue team, they send Leon to find the daughter. Two cops bring him to the location. Leon soon figures out things are not normal in town. The villagers behave aggresive and they kill a cop and burn the other. They seem to be infected with some parasite or something. After fighting off a whole bunch of them, the villagers all of a sudden leave Leon alone and move to the town hall. Maybe to play bingo. Who knows! After investigating the town, Leon finds hints that the girl is taken to a lake. On his way there he finds another kidnapped person. It's a man. Leon tries to set him free, but all of a sudden Mr. X his brother is there. He knocks Leon unconscious and infects him with a parasite. He wakes up and finds himself chained up together with the kidnapped man. His name is Luis Serra. It seems like Luis knows a bit more about the president's daughter. He says he expects the girl to be in the old church. Then a villager attacks them. But they manage to kill the villager and Luis unchaines himself with the key the villager dropped. He quickly runs away while dropping the key on the ground. Leon can now unchain himself too. But Luis is long gone.
