Omicron measures in UK to be scaled back next week, says Sajid Javid

The health secretary has said restrictions introduced to stem the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant could end next week. Javid said he was 'cautiously optimistic' that this could happen after an apparent peak in hospitalisations.
