Gul de pa zulfo is a pashto folk song which is widely sung and performed in many gatherings around KPK (Pakistan) and some regions of Afghanistan from decades. It also recorded by many renowned singers like Ustad Nashenas, Sardar Ali Takkar, Ustad Khyal Muhammad, Bakhtiar Khattak, Rashid Khan and many others. Gul de pa zulfo is an original ghazal which is written by Muhammad Din Teilee. It is later fused with other lyrics, and with the passage of time it took the shape of “Tappas” and nowadays in gatherings it is always sung with different lyrics rather than the original ghazal. We came up with this new version of Gul de pa zulfo, which is fused with the new lyrics, composition and new rabab pieces. It is probably the first time for a female vocalist to sing it.
