Ontario health minister announces $324M in new funding to reduce surgical wait times – July 28, 2021

In a virtual news conference, Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott announces the province is investing up to $324 million to enable hospitals to perform more surgeries, diagnostic imaging, and other medical procedures. The funding is part of a wider strategy to reduce surgical wait times exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Matthew Anderson, the president and CEO of Ontario Health, also takes part in the news conference.
