Russia "Hits Large Ammo Depot", Ukraine Sees Jet Coalition This Year, Allies Say F-16 Call With US
Russia's Defence Ministry says its forces are continuing to fight to capture western parts of Bakhmut. Ukrainian forces claim to have eliminated nearly a company of Russian troops and over 20 equipment units in Tavria direction. Ukraine’s intelligence Chief Kirill Budanov has proposed creating a 100-km-long demilitarised zone between Ukraine and Russia. Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia and Belarus will increase "defence capabilities" on its western borders. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said a coalition to provide Ukraine with western fighter jets will be formed this year. Britain has also denied sending its Typhoon jets, says the decision to send F16 fighter jets to Ukraine will be "up to the White House."
