KLIA Transit Hotel Guide: Sama Sama Hotel

We are currently on a journey from Melbourne to Phuket, but with a massive transit time in Kuala Lumpur, we knew there was only one place we wanted to stay: The Sama Sama Hotel. While it might not be the cheapest option at KLIA Terminal 1, it is hands down the most convenient and comfortable. Join me for a full walkthrough of the experience! 📍 GETTING THERE & THE FOOD COURT GEM We arrived fresh off an international flight from Melbourne. Navigating to the hotel is actually super easy. Once you hit the Arrivals Hall, just turn left and head down to Level 2 (near the food court). Speaking of the food court...As part of this vlog, I’m taking you on a tour of the food offerings here. PRO TIP: If you are arriving at night, DO NOT make the mistake I made in the past! Stop here and eat, or grab takeaway. The food is authentic, delicious, and by airport standards, actually affordable. 🏎️ THE VIP BUGGY RIDE We only had to wait about 5 minutes for the hotel buggy service. This runs 24/7 to and from the hotel and honestly, it’s such a fun ride! It makes you feel a little special being whisked right to the entrance. 🍜 LATE NIGHT SNACKS Right where the buggy drops you off, there is a convenient 24/7 store. Since we were actually still pretty full from all the food we were fed on our Malaysia Airlines flight, we decided to keep it simple. We grabbed some snacks and instant noodles for a "quick and nasty" dinner in the room. 🛌 THE HOLLYWOOD ROOM Check-in was a breeze and we headed up to our room. This time, we booked one of their upgraded Hollywood Rooms. For AUD $270.25, the room was fantastic, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. We have an early morning departure to Phuket, so it is such a pity we are here for such a short time because I could definitely stay in this bed longer!
