It doesn’t have gills but it has 1 lung. It uses that lung to breathe but its primary use is to control buoyancy. It breathes through its skin the rest of the time. They have limited eyesight and they mostly see with an organ on their skin which are little moles. They can pick up electrical fields with them. It has been around for about 170 million years. It is 6 feet long. It is slimy and brown. It will defend itself when threatened by secreting a white foul smelling liquid from its skin and orifices. Their call has been reported to sound just like a screaming human baby. The males can only be told apart from the females during mating season when their genitalia swells up. They can live upto 70 years. They live in China.
