Green Mountain Coffee Roasts Another Strong Quarter, Shares Rip

"Green Mountain Coffee (NASDAQ:GMCR) reported fiscal Q1 EPS of 18 cents, a penny better than the 17 cents analyst were expecting. Revenue in the quarter rose to $575.0 million, above the $543.7 million analyst estimate. The company said it sees fiscal Q2 EPS of 38-42 cents, vs. a consensus estimate of 33 cents. Green Mountain said it also sees full-year capex of $245-$290 million. President and CEO Lawrence Blanford said, ""With sales growth driven by the strong sales of Keurig Single-Cup brewers and K-Cup portion packs during the holiday season, we are off to a very strong start for fiscal year 2011. With increasing consumer adoption, the Keurig Single-Cup Brewing System, our growing family of brands, and K-Cup portion pack products are changing the way North America prepares and enjoys its coffee and other beverages.""
