Socio-ecological lens on the impact of urban planning on health behaviour in Asia-Pacific region: An integrative review Authors: YAU, Sui Yu, ZHENG, Tong Abstract: Introduction: socio-ecological framework is widely adopted to study the impact of urban planning on health behaviours. By developing a multilevel research framework via socio-ecological framework, it helps to identify how different attributes impact individuals’ health behaviour. However, majority of the empirical evidence focuses on Western countries that the urban planning strategies are different from that in the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, this integrative review focuses on how the urban planning impact on individuals’ health behaviour with a particular focus in the Asia-Pacific region. Methods: This integrative review adopted the multilevel socio-ecological framework to explore the attributes that impacted on health behaviour for individuals in Asia-Pacific region.
