According to police, the accused defrauded people online by promising loans, investments, tour-travel, and insurance packages from Bajaj. In an operation conducted under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police, the Cyber Crime Cell arrested Shubham Singh, a resident of Paparawan in the Barsathi police station area. Three Android mobile phones, three keypad mobile phones, four SIM cards, fake Aadhaar cards, 15 ATM cards, nine bank passbooks, seven checkbooks, and ₹1.45 lakh in cash obtained through cyber fraud were recovered from the accused. Police investigation revealed that the accused operated a fake website.
