Jedi: Survivor - Double Rancor (Grandmaster)

Jedi: Survivor - Double Rancor (Grandmaster)

Well that was that. I kind of ramble towards the end so TLDL: If I were in the same position as I was in the double frog fight, I feel like this could have been harder. However with all the stims and perks and skills you pick before you can access this fight, this was fairly easy. As buggy as both fights were, I really enjoyed the possibilities of the double frog fight. Like every time I died, I felt like I could do something better. And yes there’s always those bs moments, but with perfect gameplay, it was SO doable. With this fight, the bs-ness was just too bs. Like it just wasn’t that fun. This is pretty much the way you have to do this fight and it’s just not that exciting. Especially after the double frog fight. In hindsight, they didn’t take into account the bugginess of having two massive beasts inside a tiny arena and it shows. But, if they really wanted bs-ness in their, I think you just gotta pick one. Cause the other will just be boring. Tips: Dual Stance, force regen, lightsaber throw strat wins the game. Pop shots with blaster stance at entry, just to get some free hits on one of them at beginning. However, be careful cause they may double lunge unblockable and this is nearly impossible to dodge. Slowly circle rim, double dodge hammer fists and attack. Always take into account the moves of the other Rancor, so basically dodge in fours (if that makes sense). When they expend attacks they are easy to get hits, just stay humble and continue to circle backwards. Jump dash ground slam unblockable, double dodge lunge grab unblockable. Get hits after the latter if free. There isn’t really a second phase like there was with the double frog, they just kinda do a little hop forward and then throw some hands. Sometimes just straight blocking is better than dodging. I cba’d to parry in this fight, just didn’t feel it was worth it but if accidental we welcome it. You will die btw. This is normal. Just stay calm and continue to learn. After initiating death sequence, don’t feel like you need to rush the kill. They’re on so little health, just take your time and let them die when they die. After one’s gone, just continue the same strat, with the joy of knowing one can’t immediately grab you from behind the other. Thanks for joining me on this Jedi: Survivor journey, I shall be back before you know it. Ggs, As always, you got this. ✌🏻
