Viaje sin regreso (Journey of no return) by Frederick Rodriguez

Video art narrated by actress Ana Luisa Aguirre about the feminicide of a 21-year-old woman in a housing unit in the east of Mexico City. She was found by some neighbours who were out shopping for breakfast, covered with a black plastic bag, inside a rubbish bin. The piece opens up questions about misogynist violence taken to the extreme and its connection with territorial social conditions of extreme marginalisation and urban exclusion. Abandonment, impunity, and vulnerability are denounced with great indignation and frustration by civil society organisations, family members and women.
