8th English : Unit 2 : Prose : Hobby Turns into a Successful Career:Notes of lesson Once there was a boy named mani. He found it difficult to read and write. His grandfather noticed it and helped him by reading bedtime stories. Then he started writing his own stories and essays. Writing made his life passionate. His hobbies are not only to pass free time but also to do something useful. Ajay kumar Garg, is a very talented young artist. He suffered an injury and became permanently deaf at the age of 3. He started to paint happily. His father realised that he was talented in painting. He mastered the technique of preparing colors. In 2004, he was honored with a National award of accomplishment by our former Indian president Dr. A.P.J.Abdul kalam. Ilavazhagi is carrom champion of Tamilnadu. Her father, A.Iruhyaraj gave her coaching at the age of five. She won lot of ð medals and ðtrophies. She is the 5th World Carrom Champion, 2008 in France. Her hobby of playing carrom took her to level of World Champion.
