Queen - Live in Liverpool (15th November 1975)

This is the second of two nights in Liverpool and overall the second show of Queen's 'Opera' Tour. The overall atmosphere is great as usually in England with the band feeding off the crowd's excitement. As seen on pictures of the show (also used in the thumbnail), Freddie holds up a copy of the new LP which excites the audience quite a lot as the album wouldn't be released for another week! The setlist has changed a little as 'Son and Daughter' is now played much earlier, being placed directly after the medley as heard during their last tour. Additionally, the band has added 'Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll' between 'Keep Yourself Alive' and 'Liar', one of the last times the Queen I rocker would be heard live. Finally, 'Ogre Battle' has been shortened by dropping the feedback intro and skipping the second verse tonight. While the performance is mostly tighter tonight, there are still some glaring issues. Brian keeps hitting sour notes in 'Flick of the Wrist' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody', Roger misses a cue in 'Sweet Lady' and John plays the wrong song during 'Stone Cold Crazy'! Freddie also sounds a bit more tired, especially in the second half of the show. Despite this, this is a very enjoyable show featuring a great 'Killer Queen' with some nice campy singing and a great guitar solo, another great full length 'Son and Daughter' and 'Liar' features some great guitar work as well. 00:00:00 - 01.
