Venting Cafe Racer Front Hub cb400

Zeke mills trapezoids instead of the traditional holes to vent and cool the front hub of a cb175 cafe racer project he is building this summer. Builder and fabricator Bryan Fuller of Fuller Moto, host of Naked Speed, invited Zeke DeZeeuw for a one week tutorial on what turned out to be an amazing experience for a 12 year old wanna be fabricator it was kinda like a baseball player getting to be batboy in the major leagues. At MotoGP in Austin Texas Bryan and Zeke shook hands on a deal they made together. Zeke would get a cb175 to a rolling chassis and then bring it to Fuller Moto in Atlanta Georgia for Bryan and Zeke to do the sheet metal together. Bryan makes functional rolling pieces of art that move and inspire people and is very organic in his creative process. Zeke and Bryan exchanged drawing and ideas before starting and then they waited on the muse of inspiration to show up. This is day one of Zoöid. The term zoöid has historically also been used for an organic cell or organized body that has independent movement within a living organism and can reproduce by fission. We stopped at the Barber Museum in Birmingham Alabama to gain inspiration from bikes such as the Kreidler, Van Even, and other vintage Grand Prix motorcycles from the 1950's and 1960's.
