UK says Russia has cut off Ukraine from international maritime trade

Russia has effectively cut Ukraine off from international maritime trade by blockading Ukraine's ports along the Black Sea. That's according to the UK Defence Ministry. It says Russian naval forces continue to carry out missile strikes across Ukraine. British intelligence states Russia has already conducted an amphibious landing in the Sea of Azov and could look to conduct further such operations in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the UN's shipping agency said it will seek to create a safe maritime corridor for merchant ships and their crews stuck in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
