【MKW Former WR】Grumble Volcano (Glitch) - 15.947

UPDATE 20/12/21: I beat this run with a time of 15.827 Watch the run here:    • 【MKW Former WR】Grumble Volcano (Glitch) - ...   Since November 2019, I have been grinding on and off for the world record on Grumble Volcano Glitch. Constant fails and giving up multiple times, then coming back to the track just to PB once, and then giving up again. After my 16.466, I thought that was it for me. Around early November, I was bored and decided to try GV for fun. No serious attempts, just wanted time to pass. I hit a PBS within 30 minutes of playing. All of a sudden, I have the rush, the urge, and the excitement to play it like I was in 2019 again. I've always had the thought at the back of my head like "what if I did get world record" but this time the feeling was different. I knew I was going to get there. I thought I had the potential to, so I tried. The next 3 days would confirm I still had potential November 11th: I get my first PB. It's 16.310. A good cut from the 466. November 12th: I hit a fantastic 16.168 and end up getting ANOTHER 16.168! At this point, I knew I was going to get close November 13th: I hit the .0's with a 16.088. It could have been a 15 with a better lap 3. And just 4 days later I hit 16.001. Better than 16.000 if you think about it, right? After the 001, I had certainly thought that I would write my name in Mario Kart Wii history. World record fails after world record fails, it's actually funny how many times I've failed world record. I come home from school on Friday the 3rd of December 2021 expecting just another day of world record fails and wasting time with friends. At around 2 hours into my session, I get a run. I try to not take in pressure by not looking at the laps. I knew lap 1 was great, but it'll be nothing if I fail. I finished lap 2, believing that I would just get 15, not world record, but just 15 seconds. I complete lap 3 and look at the "TIME" on the top of my TV screen. "YES, 15!" I exclaim before realizing the final 3 digits. "WAIT! 15.947...is that?" I rush to mkleaderboards.com to check the world record, making sure I don't react to just another 2nd worldwide, something I've been for the past 2 years. I look at my TV, back to my laptop, back to my TV, and back to my laptop before I finally scream "LETS GOOOOO". I took a moment to really take it in before recording the rest of my reaction on my phone (   • world record popoff  ). I start tearing up, realizing that after 2 years of constant struggle, failure, quitting, and coming back to only quit again I've finally done it. After 5 years of playing Mario Kart Wii TT'S, and Grumble Volcano Glitch for 2 years, I can officially say that I have achieved a World Record in Mario Kart Wii. This run means a LOT to me so I hope it stays on for a bit. If not, I'm still really happy I got the World Record in the first place! Fun Fact: I'm also the first person to get a World Record born after the game's release! Ok, now to the run! Lap 1: 6.228 (9/10) AMAZING L1! Crazy entry and great recovery! Best L1 is still like .1 ahead though but I'm very happy with this lap! Lap 2: 5.171 (8/10) Only concern with this lap is that I went a bit too fast after the bump causing me to go a bit wide but other than that, good lap Lap 3: 4.548 (8/10) I think if I didn't wheelie at the end, I wouldn't have WR (not sure but if it is then that's amazing) Chadsoft Link: https://www.chadsoft.co.uk/time-trial...
