My Biggest Secret To Success As An Entrepreneur! - Jon Penberthy

http://www.frontlinemarketer.com Hey guys, in this video I want to teach you how you can shortcut your learning curve when it comes to marketing and internet entrepreneur stuff, and how in so doing you can shortcut your path and road to success. So one of the biggest lessons I learned early on in my business and online career, is to model success that is already out there. Model successful people. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel, don’t try to do things differently, or go out on your own, and make things up. You don’t even need to necessarily have an expensive mentor in the beginning, but you do need to model what the authorities in your industry are already doing. Let me give you an example. In one of the main industries I work in, in internet marketing, I teach people how to drive traffic, how to generate leads, and how to produce sales for their online business. That’s what I’m good at. That’s what I know how to do. So when I’m putting my pages together, my capture pages, sales funnels, websites, blog posts and videos, what did I start doing in the beginning? What do I still do to this day to get the best results? I model what is already successful out there in the industry. I go and find all the people who are doing big things in my industry, all of the ‘gurus’, the people that are making moves, doing big things, and I study them. I find out exactly what they’re doing. What are they building? What are they putting out there? How are they producing content? How are they structuring their videos? What do their websites look like? What do their blog posts look like? That is what you need to do, and then you just need to model what they’re doing. Now there’s got to be a very careful distinction between copy and model. We do not copy anyone’s work. Don’t ever go to someone’s blog and copy their article and paste it on yours, or steal their video and put it on yours. I remember there was a famous video that came out, I won’t say which one it was, but a big time marketer produced this video, it was about a Ferrari and some other stuff, and a friend of mine literally just copied the exact same video. He rented a Ferarri, did the exact same illustration, did the exact same story word for word basically. You don’t want to be doing that. That’s stealing. That’s not right. You want to model what’s going on in the industry. You want to model the successful people. Go to those blog posts, see what articles are being written, see how videos are being produced and let that give you ideas for what is successful. So, as an example let’s say in your industry a sales video is about 40 minutes long, well guess how long your sales video needs to be? 40 minutes. Don’t do a 10 minute one, or an hour long one, or an hour and a half, try and stick to what is already working. So here is what you need to do whatever industry you’re in, if you are in the internet marketing space, the weight loss space, the muscle building, consulting, services, whatever you are in, go out and spend some time researching who are the movers and shakers in your industry right now. Study them, go to their blogs, read all of their blog posts. Go to their YouTube channel and watch all their videos. Go to their websites. Buy their courses. Go through their products, find out what they are teaching, how they are teaching it, and then model what they are doing. Go to their Facebook pages, what kind of posts are they putting out? Which ones are getting the most engagement from their audiences? That’s going to give you the best ideas to then go away and implement into your business. Here is one of the biggest tips that you can take away from this. When you are buying a marketing training program, something that is going to teach you a specific topic to do with marketing, to do with sales, to do with traffic generation, rather than watching the sales video, purchasing the product and learning what they are teaching, why not also study how on earth you are being sold that product? Study their sales video and figure out how on earth they are enticing me to buy this product? What things, what triggers are they having in the video? What things are they doing in the sales process that is making me want to buy this product? Model that. Learn from that. So that is the biggest lesson that I have learned, model success, model successful people, model the authorities in your industry. Don’t copy them, never ever copy content, but get ideas from it. Hope that is helpful for you guys, go ahead and do that! Research the authorities, the movers and shakers in your industry, model what they are doing and apply that to your marketing. Until the next time, Jon
