Vitamins are organic substances that our body requires for normal metabolic functioning and we can get them through diet. Fat soluble vitamins: ADEK Water soluble vitamins: B complex and Vitamin C VITAMINS are organic substances that occur in many foods in small amount for the normal metabolic function we cannot synthesized them ,need to be taken through diet they are protective foods and we need then in small amount. FUNCTIONS they are helpful in the following respects . a) they buildup the resistance of the body against the disease . b) prevent and cure various disease caused by the deficiency . c) help the digestion and utilization of mineral salts and carb in the body . d) stimulate and give strength to digestive and nerves system . e) help health protection . f) help maintenance of proper health and normal growth.
