This is what our God wants, this is his Kingdom, this is the goal of his action in the world. As Christmas approaches, we too want to embrace his dream with even greater strength, persevering in our commitment (cf. James 5:8) and full of confidence,” Pope Leo XIV emphasized in his homily while presiding over Holy Mass in St. Peter's Basilica for the Jubilee of the Penitentiary World, thus concluding the major events of the Holy Year. 5,500 faithful were present in the papal basilica, and another 2,500 watched the event on screens in St. Peter's Square. Leo XIV acknowledged the difficulties of prison life and the challenge of maintaining faith and perseverance in the face of adversity: “It is true, prison is a difficult environment, and even the best intentions can encounter many obstacles. Precisely for this reason, we must not tire, become discouraged, or give up, but rather press on with tenacity, courage, and a spirit of cooperation.” But at the same time, he reminded everyone that true justice seeks reparation and reconciliation rather than punishment alone: “Many still do not understand that we must rise from every fall, that no human being is justified by what they have done, and that justice is always a process of reparation and reconciliation.” The Pope's homily can be seen and heard in the Vatican News video. https://www.vaticannews.va/es.html https://escucharlavozdelamor.blogspot...
