Online Working from Home 5 tips for Keeping Your Sanity

Now that a lot of us are working online in response COVID-19, we find ourselves in uncharted territory. Speech therapists' are conducting ZOOM staff and IEP meetings and preparing to provide teletherapy. What can we do so that we don’t have tired eyes, sore backs and irritable minds as we make this transition? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Here are 5 tips from Meg Kirby, my sister and an online K-12 teacher/instructional coach for the past 9 years. Tip # 1 is to set-up a designated comfortable workspace that's free from interruptions and distractions. You'll want it to allow for movement and consider options like rotating from a chair, to a yoga ball, to a standing desk. Get yourself some blue light glasses (I didn't even know this was a thing).
