At the beginning, you accompany the Temerian King Foltest during an attack on the castle of the rival noble family La Vallette. King Foltest was nearly assassinated in the first game. However, the assassin was killed by Geralt's blade. Now, you fight the defenders several times and gradually explore the impressive castle. After the attack ends, Foltest is stabbed to death before Geralt's eyes by a tall and muscular stranger. He visits several different locations and completes various main and side quests.
