Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Hey everyone and welcome back to part 5 of my Super Mario Galaxy 100% playthrough! Today let's start by reading some more chapters of Rosalina's storybook annnd then we feed the Hungry Luma outside the Bedroom dome and access the bonus galaxy, Bigmouth's Gold Bait. Now this is a rather simple and fun level. The star is in the golden treasure chest and to access it you have to grab a golden shell to is located further up in the fish cave, which can be accessed by creating a Sling Star by reuniting 5 fragments. Nothing hard here. Next, I get the Cosmic Mario comet in Honeyhive Galaxy, nothing too difficult here in this race, Cosmic Mario is rather slow if anything. Next up, I head back to Battlerock Galaxy in order to find Luigi jailed upside down to get the last green star, which will open the portal to the green star trials. Will complete them much, much later on though. Now I head to the fifth and penultimate dome, the Engine Room. These galaxies get harder, but I think I breezed through em' somehow. First off, let's start with the bonus galaxy, Bonefin Galaxy. It's an arena for an entire boss fight that will take place underwater. It's really not that bad, I myself enjoyed it. This is Kingfin, the leader of the Bonefin (supposedly its mini-minions counterparts) and the only way to damage it is by throwing shells at it several times, though every phase it summons more minions and may go faster (I think). I really love the theme though (it's also the same theme used for Bouldergeist in Ghostly Galaxy.). Next galaxy is Gold Leaf Galaxy. I spend a lot of time gathering star bits, sorry about that but I felt like that was a necessity, cause the next Hungry Lumas will require more and more star bits. First star is simple, you gotta gather 5 pull star fragments and then you'll be sent to a planet where a rabbit asks you to catch him in exchange for a power star. You can greatly slow it down by temporarily pressing a switch and luring it into walking in the water. Star 2 will surely bring back memories to the Sunshine OGs! The annoying enemies launching you in the air also known as the Cataquacks make a return in this game, in this galaxy. You have to make use of the Cataquacks to propel yourself into the air to progress. In the last planet, you need the help of a Cataquack to get the Bee power, get on top of a tower to reach the floaty flowery platforms leading towards the power star. Also yes, I have reached the amount of power stars necessary to get to the final boss, but now is not the time yet. Third star is pretty fun, you mostly need the use of the Bee power up, to get on top of rain clouds while also avoid getting wet. The boss is a Monty Mole (seems so) that uses a water cannon. It's harmless if you lost your Bee power, though! Pressing a switch is the only way to get to the top of the cannon to damage it. Stairs will be summoned. I also get the Cosmic Comet in Gold Leaf Galaxy, a bit trickt but not too bad. Physics tend to be weird, though. Secret star in GLG is kinda stupid, you need the bubble to collect all notes and it's incredibly tedious. I still do it though. But you can't do it again if you fail, you gotta start over the level. Now into Sea Slide Galaxy, by far my most favorite underwater level in Galaxy! It's a huge aquatic area, formed partly of platforms, and islands as well. In the first star, really simple, you gotta beat Guppy, a "brute" Orca at his own game by going through 8 rings at least to win his challenge. You can use a shell to swim faster underwater. Second star, is another race but against penguins this time, not too hard once again. Just use a shell. I get the Cosmic Comet in this galaxy as well. Once again, use of a shell seems necessary to win. Third star, you gotta collect 5 silver stars scattered at different places on the galaxy, various characters give you hints. Secret, I found a bit hard. In my first playthrough, I somehow did it without needing a Bee Mario power-up. I thought I could do it again but it wasn't that easy! Next, Toy Time Galaxy. Spring Mario, my least favorite power up. It's so uncontrollable sometimes, I hate it. First star is boss battle, Heavy Metal Mecha-Bowser. No hard gimmick, climbing it should be a breeze. The entire galaxy itself however seems hard to progress at times... Second star is getting on a Mario galaxy that collapses. You gotta watch your surroundings to avoid dying here, seriously. Third star is yet another Monty Mole boss fight, this time a large electric cannon so watch out for that. You gotta only get on top if it's not using electricity to defend himself. Secret star, feed a hungry Luma, and you reach a unique secret galaxy, where you gotta step on several switches to get the star, a bit tricky if you're careless. Bowser level, King Kaliente's rematch! Just watch your step. Hungry Luma galaxy I struggled a lot on last year, but I did much better! -Progress Power Stars: 74/120 (M)
