Calling Out Archery Coaches

Are you an archery coach or considering being an archery coach? If so watch this video! This has been on my mind for quite some time and I think it's time for a shift! Great archery coaches have one thing in common.... Disclaimer: This is not an attack on coaches who are out there working hard within their limits, this is more of a call to action than anything else. Let's be the best coaches we can be, I strongly believe that as a coach learning how to shoot and apply the teachings you profess to yourself will lead you to developing further and faster. Teaching yourself on the right positions, moves and thoughts will bring you insights of how to be a better archer that you can pass on to your students. In my opinion without this, there can be a strong disconnect between you and your student. Shooting in the past or before you became a coach is sufficient and will have given you an understanding that you can leverage to relate to your archers. Obviously different experiences lead to different levels of expertise and knowledge that can be shared...
