Sniper Elite III – a computer action game produced and published by the British studio Rebellion Developments. The game was released on June 27, 2014 for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms. It is the third part of the Sniper Elite series. Plot The plot of Sniper Elite III is set during World War II in Africa. The main character of the game is Karl Fairburne – a sniper of the United States Armed Forces command[1]. Gameplay The single-player game mode is divided into eight missions, in which the player's task is usually to eliminate a designated target. The game has introduced extensive sniper mechanics, thanks to which, at higher difficulty levels, factors such as speed, wind direction and the effect of gravity on the flight path of the projectile are important when shooting. During the mission, the player can use different tactics. Destroying tanks and trucks requires the prior elimination of their components. The best vehicle hits are shown with a movie camera that follows the projectile and shows the mechanical damage to individual parts. The development system allocates experience points that the player can spend on improving equipment and weapons. The player can complete missions alone or in cooperation with another player.
