China slams US-Japan joint statement

The statement called Beijing’s behaviour inconsistent with the international order. On March 17, 2021, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the statement was a “malicious attack” on Beijing’s foreign policy and that it “grossly interfered” with the country’s internal affairs.
