Hey there, Liron here! This will be a 1/3 video series in which we’ll start the journey of drawing simplified 3D shapes. My goal is to work us up to being able to draw figures with relative accuracy, using basic shapes. Key takeaways: 1. A cube is the most basic structure, BUT it’s deceptively complex too. It forces you to KNOW the orientation of each side, while drawing them all with equal sizes & distances (as it’s a CUBE, not just a box). I’m still learning new things every day. 2. Another big challenge is measuring angles and objects in space, especially those moving away from us. Due to the rules of perspective - these appear shorter. 3. Developing intuition is a major way for figuring this out. Sketch, then test yourself and correct mistakes. Rinse and repeat. That way you’ll slowly squash away your misconceptions and preconceptions, and learn to see reality in a more accurate manner.
