Practise sticking exercises along to music. It can be more fun, and allows you to place the exercises into a musical context. This video provides 24 minutes of music at 132bpm for the first 24 exercises of G. L. Stone's book "Stick Control: For the Snare Drummer." That is, one minute per exercise, including a four-beat (one bar) count-in for each exercise. The exercise sticking pattern is also provided - so you just have to focus on practising.
