A key US nuclear submarine is reportedly headed to the Black Sea in a strategic retort to Russia. The USS Rhode Island entered the Mediterranean Sea on Nov.5 four days after arriving in the Port of Gibraltar. It is now en route to a "strategic position" after Russia's announcement about its newest nuclear-powered submarine. The USS Rhode Island’s reported departure for Black Sea is amid a critical phase in Russia’s war on Ukraine. Russia's battlefield losses and Ukrainian preparations to retake Kherson have raised stakes for President Putin. This, in turn, has prompted concerns of Russia resorting to extreme measures to change the tide of the war. #Russiaukrainewar #Russia #USSRhodeIsland #nuclearsubmarine #worldnews 0:00 - INTRODUCTION 1:33 - ‘HIGHLY-EFFECTIVE ELEMENT OF US NUCLEAR DETERRENCE FORCE’ 2:11 - NUCLEAR TENSIONS AS RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR ENTERS KEY PHASE #n18oc_world #n18oc_crux CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
