Stitch With Me Full Coverage HAED 7 Days of Giveaways Cross Stitch Flosstube
Today's Stitch With Me cross stitch project is Bouganvilla Bloom by John Powell charted by Heaven and Earth Designs. I am stitching this on 25 count evenweave fabric and 1 strand of DMC floss over 1 fabric thread. I like the coverage of 1 strand on 25 count. But I have 2 issues with stitching on this project: ISSUE #1) STITCHES SLIPPING When stitching over 1 on evenweave (or linen), I sometimes encounter the issue where the thread slips under the fabric thread. To prevent this, I have to pay attention to which hole I come up in to make the second leg of my stitch. ISSUE #2) MISSING STITCHES Because the holes in the fabric are so small, if I have a unstitched area - I can easily miss it. Using Pattern Keeper helps me because I can see where there is a missing stitch. But I've also found stitches where I stitches the first leg - and missed the second leg.
