His older brother, Sweet, is the leader of the Grove Street Families gang. The gang is in constant conflict with its enemies, the Ballas and Los Santos Vagos gangs. Within the framework of these events, Carl's other brother Brian dies. After this loss, Carl decides to move to Liberty City. In the intervening years, Big Smoke, one of the other two leading members of the Grove Street Families, betrays the gang and moves to Ballas as a result of his indulging in money and power. During this betrayal, he tempts Ryder, one of the important members of Grove Street, and makes him move to Ballas. They then team up with the bad cops of the Los Santos Police Department (known as C.R.A.S.H) to kill Sweet and crack down on the gang. Within the framework of this plan, they will suddenly raid the area with the Ballas' green Saber car, comb the house and kill Sweet. The plan works exactly, but Sweet is not at home. Mother Beverly Johnson is the target of gunfire and dies. After this incident, Carl decides to return home. Back home, Carl realizes that all is not the same as before. After witnessing it all, CJ has a deep grudge against Big Smoke and Ryder. CJ rushes to report the situation to Sweet, but Sweet is then engaged in combat with the Ballas and is injured. Carl, who arrives in the area, repels the Ballas, but the police raid the place. CJ, who does not let go of his injured brother, is arrested. After this incident, Sweet went to jail. Carl was driven out of Los Santos by C.R.A.S.H. cops Tenpenny and Pulaski. Big Smoke takes over Ballas and establishes his own drug building. Grove Street is history. CJ meets a woman named Katalina and with her he robs four different places in four different towns, multiplying his money. At the same time, he wins a garage in San Fierro in his races in these regions and meets Wu Zi Mu (Woozie), the leader of the Triad gang. Moving to San Fierro, CJ realizes that the garage he was given is not in great condition. He travels all over the city and makes the garage workable with the team he gathers. Cesar and Kendl have always been by CJ's side along the way. CJ, on the other hand, helps Woozie with many things. These events lead to a solid friendship between the two. CJ and Cesar manage to track down Ryder. They learn that Ryder is doing business with three different people. The first of these is T-Bone Mendez, the leader of the San Fierro Rifa gang, Jizzy, and Mike Toreno, an undercover agent whose government is unknown. CJ approaches Jizzy, gains her trust, and then kills her. After finishing this job, he raids Mendez and Ryder, who are meeting on a pier, and kills them both. Finally, he kills Toreno, who tries to escape by helicopter. After all these events, CJ receives a phone call from an unknown person. Going to the location the man said, CJ realizes that Toreno is not dead and that he is an undercover government agent. Toreno has CJ do a lot of his work in this rural area. On the other hand, Woozie also makes CJ a partner in the casino he opened in Las Venturas. CJ was active in Las Venturas for a long time. Here he crosses paths with Kent Paul, Madd Dogg and Ken Rosenberg, known from Vice City. After taking care of a lot of work in Las Venturas, CJ returns to Los Santos. Toreno helps Sweet get out of prison because of CJ's help to him. When Sweet is released from prison, she reacts greatly when she realizes that the gang has disappeared and that CJ is busy with other things. Back in her own home, Sweet soon gets the Grove Street Families back on their feet. CJ, on the other hand, breaks the activity of other gangs by recapturing many areas in Los Santos. After learning the latest location of Big Smoke, the Johnson brothers raid Smoke's place. After a long conflict, CJ captures and kills Smoke. Tenpenny, who entered there at that time, steals the money and runs away. The Johnson brothers pursue Tenpenny, who escapes in a fire truck. After a long chase, Tenpenny loses control of the fire truck, flies to Grove Street and dies. The Johnson family, who got rid of all the troubles, returned to their normal lives.
