Bokehlicious Coffee Moment with Ira - Anamorfake #Anamorphic ( Panasonic S1 )

Evening coffee time with muse friend Ira. Ira and I have been linked up for almost a year or so. Finally we met up for a good reason - a fun photo session inside a school campus building. It went pretty well. After the shoot, we quickly grabbed something to eat and then sat down in this cafe place for some great talk as well as this quick video testing/filming. ( We've also filmed some in during the shoot but it will take me some more time editing that. Stay tuned.) Gears used : Panasonic S1 / Mc-21 / Canon 50mm 1.4 + (poorly cut) DIY anamorphic filter aka #anamorfake (without the fishing line) + HLG profile /10bit 24fps / APSC Crop mode + Slowmo'ed and graded in Davinci Resolve Been digging into the true filmic look for the past many months if not years about how or why the Hollywood movies being that charming Hollywood movies besides all the expensive gears and teamworks from professional crews , exquisite locations and lighting control equipments..etc..all that jazz. And then i started to wonder if any "almost real" filmic vibes would be achieved with just a one-man-band under minimal budget. After many researching and comparing the sample footage and short films videos on Youtube and Vimeo, i want to believe that it's the lenses that will play a more important roll down the road than a camera on giving the "LOOK" of any videos. Then the anamorphic look has then totally grabbed my attention. Yes. That 1.5x to 2x stretched background + bokeh definitely gave an "exotic" and unique look. I wouldn't say it's a legit vibes but there is an enchanting quality that makes the images instantly closer to the realm of cinematography and Hollywood films...even it's simple enough subject or topic. Yes, i'm planning to invest a REAL anamorphic adapter plus a single focus solution. And i wish it could be lightweight portable and possibly durable mounting on a gimbal. Let me know if you have such a set of combination for sale. Because as far as i have seen in the groups/forums, they are all quite bulky and not suitable for creatives like me who loves keeping low profile, filming in public as if I were invisible. In the meantime, i shall film more footage with this DIY'ed anamorfake filter. ******Credits and Links: Ira Rubik -   / ira.rubik   Edward CH Lai ( Videographer/Photographer ) -   / atmospherelight   https://www.atmospherelightphotograph...
