The U.S. and Israel launched strikes on Iran over the weekend, which killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran responded by attacking Israel and many other Middle East countries which host U.S. military bases. This new conflict with Iran has reverberations for those with ties to the region, any traveling to and from the Middle East, and those connected to the oil and gas industry. This also comes on the eve of primary election day in Texas, so there could be immediate political impacts too.
