And here's my conclusion: Let's get the obvious ones out first. Graphics: Both are eye candies, let me put it that way. It's difficult for me to pick a clear winner in terms of visuals. Sounds: Although this footage is captured in replay mode, in which some of the details like the turbo flutter and gearbox whine are not included, Automobilista 2 is the dominant winner here. And now to the real meat and potatoes. Track model: Being the sim that keeps on giving with each update, Automobilista 2 has a much more accurate version of the Nordschleife compared to pCARS 2. Project CARS 2's track model looks like a mod for 2005's rFactor at best. Handling model / Physics: Project CARS 2's 962C is an incredibly simplified version of the real thing, which isn't necessarily bad if you want to feel like the next Stefan Bellof. The car is planted to the ground pretty much all the time. Going into and out of the corners is almost always done without hassle. pCARS 2, however, doesn't let you make use of kerbs. Going over them will make your car spin 180 degrees. Automobilista 2's 962C on the other hand requires a lot more skill / delicacy with throttle, brake and steering inputs. Only this game lets you make full use of tracks' width if you're looking to shave that extra tenth of a second off your laptime.
