Gerry talks about his experience of living well with dementia

Gerald King, known as ‘Gerry’, was diagnosed with young onset Alzheimer’s disease aged 55. Highlighting how his life changed following the diagnosis, Gerry said “I had to retire from my work through ill health, I had to surrender my driving licence. I hadn’t changed, but the way the world saw me had changed completely.” Now embracing life as a voice for those living with dementia, Gerry wanted to share his story.
