Goodbye Portland: Why I left the city I loved and lost

Hello again! Long time no see. This one is messy, long, and pretty raw. In it, I talk about why I recently decided to leave Portland, the city I thought would be my forever home. I talk about everything from the small livability issues that piled up to the rampant homeless problem that led to me not feeling safe there anymore. Theres so much more I could have gone into, like the huge increase in shootings in Portland recently, other legislative mismanagement in Oregon, the destruction of public art, but I had to cut myself off at some point. Who knows. Maybe this isn't a forever split, but for now, the Portland that currently exists is not a place I want to live. I sincerely hope that Portland turns itself around someday.
